Kid's Council

Kids'Council-in past years (not currently available)

Kids' Council is made up of two representatives from each class, from grades Primary to 5. These students have shown an interest in being involved in school wide fundraising or awareness initiatives aimed at helping different groups locally and globally.

As a committee, they discuss what organizations could use the school's support and how as a school we could best offer assistance. Some charities or non for profit organizations that have been helped in the past include: Feed Nova Scotia, the SPCA, Northwood, and buying mosquito nets for families in Africa. Some ways that Kids' Council has supported these organizations have been through food donations, collecting money or items at the school's Christmas concerts, doing toonie tosses, and having themed days where kids bring in a small donation and are then able to wear a hat all day, chew gum at school!
